Nurlan Kubaidollaevich Shaimardanov

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor

Born in 1963, Kazakh, from a family of scientists.

In 1986 he graduated with honors from the Semipalatinsk Medical Institute, worked as a clinical resident, assistant, researcher, professor, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Semey State Medical University. In 1988 he defended his candidate’s thesis in Leningrad, in 1993 – his doctoral dissertation.

In 1991-92 he worked in Moscow at the Institute of Immunology, in 1992 he trained in Japan. In 1994, he was awarded the state prize “Daryn” by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev for merits in the development of medical science. In 1995, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Kazakhstan on a competitive basis. In 1995 he was transferred to Almaty to the position of head of the Laboratory of Immunoradiology of the Almaty Medical Institute, since 1996 a member of the dissertation Council at the Kazakh State Medical University. In 1997 in the order of official transfer, he was appointed to the position of professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Semipalatinsk State Medical Academy. In 1997, he was elected by competition for 3 years as a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Science – Academy of Sciences for talented Young Scientists. He has repeatedly been the winner of grants from the Ministry of Science and New Technologies, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of various scientific, including international programs. He introduced the international program “CINDY” in his native university for the prevention of iodine deficiency conditions, iron deficiency anemia and others. In 2003, 2006 he was trained in English in Austria (Salzburg seminars on Infectious Diseases), 2010 in Israel (month) on topical issues of hepatology and gastroenterology.

He is engaged in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, 13 candidate’s and 1 doctoral dissertation have been prepared and successfully defended under his leadership. He has published 150 works, including 3 monographs.

Scientific works have received international recognition. In 1992-1996 he participated in international congresses, including in Germany and Japan. The results of the work were reported at the 8th and 9th World Congresses of Immunologists in Hungary and the USA. He speaks English, graduated in 1985 with honors from 2–year evening English courses at the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute.

A doctor of the highest category. Since 1997 he worked as a professor, then since 2002 Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Semipalatinsk State Medical Academy. Advises severe and diagnostically unclear patients in the city infectious diseases hospital, where the clinical base of the department is located, and clinics of East Kazakhstan region. Shaimardanov N.K. introduced new methods of diagnosis and treatment of patients with infectious pathology into the practice of healthcare in East Kazakhstan region. In 2004, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded the badge “Kazakhstan Republikasy densaulyk Aktau isinin uzdigi”.

In 2003, he created an immunogenetic laboratory for the first time in the East Kazakhstan region, introduced since 2004 in Semey methods of PCR diagnostics of bacterial and viral infections. He has the first category of health care organizer in the specialty public health (2014).

Brief Information about Department

The Department of Infectious Diseases with a course of Epidemiology was established in 1957. The heads of the department were: PhD, Associate Professor A.A. Aubakirov, MD, Associate Professor L.M. Baranovsky, MD, Professor E.S. Belozerov, PhD, Associate Professor B.T. Khryapov, MD, Professor L.A. Mukovozova, MD, Professor N.K. Shaimardanov. Since 2010, the discipline of infectious Diseases has been part of the Departments of Disaster Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry and Infectious Diseases. Since 2017, it has been merged with the Department of Dermatovenerology (Head of the Department, Ph.D. Associate Professor A.K. Akhmetova), since 2018 – with immunology (Head of the Department, Ph.D. Associate Professor S.B. Maukaeva). Currently, 2 Doctors of Medical Sciences are working on the discipline “Infectious Diseases”: Honored Professor of Semey State Medical University L.A. Mukovozova and Professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.K. Shaimardanov; 4 Candidates of Medical Sciences: Associate Professor, Professor of Semey State Medical University G.I. Nuralinova, Associate Professor S.B. Maukaeva, Associate Professor A.Z. The first Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology in the Soviet Union was organized in 1986 on the initiative of the rector of the Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute, Professor E.S.Belozerov. The first head of the department was associate professor K.B.Sadykov, 1987-2009 associate professor F.F.Yagofarov, 2009-2018, MD, Associate Professor H.S.Zhetpisbayeva.

 

History of occurrence, achievements, plans for further development of the Department of Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Semipalatinsk Medical Institute was organized in 1957. The founder of the department and its permanent leader for 20 years (from 1957 to 1976) was Associate Professor Abdusametov Rafik Hamraevich (1915- 1986), who for a number of years was vice-rector for science of SMI also.

Subsequently, the department from 1976 to 1982 was headed by Professor Bazyka Anatoly Pavlovich (1920-1986) – a world known scientist, an excellent lecturer and clinician, he wrote a large number of scientific works, including two monographs.

From 1982 to 2002, the Department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Savitskaya Lyubov Nilovna. She is the author of more than 300 scientific works, 20 inventions and rationalization proposals, has prepared 7 candidates of medical sciences and about 30 clinical interns.

From 2002 to 2016 the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nurmukhambetov Zhumash Naskenovich. Under his leadership, 3 Ph.D. theses were defended, he is the author of more than 200 scientific papers, including 4 inventions, 5 innovation proposals and 2 monographs. Currently, under his supervision, of a PhD candidate Ibraeva T.B. is performed.

From 2017 to August 2022, the department was headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Akhmetova Almira Kalikapasovna.

Over the years, Associate Professor Almira Kabazhanovna Zhunusova, Tatyana Belyaeva, Associate Professor Nurgul Sultanova, Associate Professor Valentina Vladimirovna Rusanova, Tatyana V. Khryapova, Assistant Professor Rusanova, Ph.D. Khramikh-Overchenko Natalya Mikhailovna, Ph.D. Sundeeva Elena Alekseevna, Ibrayeva Torgyn Berikzhanovna were working in the department.

The employees of the department prepared a lot of teaching materials for students, including «Mycosis of skin», «Photodermatosis»,some in Kazakh languages: «Микоздар», «Пиодермиялар», «Дерматиттер», «Экзема», «Нейродерматоздар», «Пемфигус», monographs “Allergic skin diseases” and “Emotional stress and correction of adaptive disorders”.

In 2022, the department passed the international accreditation for the training of residents in the specialty “Dermatovenereology, including children’s” and currently there are nine residents. The department works in close cooperation with practical public health: cycles for retraining and advanced training of dermatovenereology specialists, medical scientific and practical conferences, meetings of the regional scientific society of dermatovenerology specialists are held.

According to the results of the annual rating on educational, methodological and scientific work, the department is one of the best at the university. Many teachers of the department have repeatedly become the best in the nomination “Best Professor”, “Best associate professor”, “Best lecturer”, “Best professor”, “Best assistant”, “Best scientist”. Interactive and innovative teaching methods have been introduced and actively used in the educational process: PBL, CBL, TBL, interactive teaching methods, simulation technology method, project-oriented learning, video lectures, OCE, videos, mini-clinical exam, standardized patients, vertical and horizontal integration, academic Olympiads, integrated symposium, E-learning. Most of the teachers have the highest qualification category and are constantly improving their professional level in the country and abroad (Austria, Japan. Israel, USA, Italy, Singapore, Lithuania, Turkey). The staff of the department publish the results of scientific research in journals of the near and far abroad, have articles and theses with an impact factor, their works are cited. The staff of the department has prepared and published 3 scientific monographs, more than 20 teaching aids in 3 languages of instruction. Lidiya Alekseevna Mukovozova

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Professor of SMU, NCJSC, has been working at the university since 1967

Author of more than 300 scientific papers, including 9 methodological recommendations, 8 preliminary patents, 33 innovation proposals. Author of the textbook “Handbook of Infectious Diseases” (2012) and the monograph “Immunopathogenesis and immunotherapy of brucellosis” (2017). Under her leadership, 14 candidate’s, 2 doctoral dissertations and 1 PhD in medicine were prepared and defended. 19 clinical residents have been trained. Founder and head of the scientific school “Actual problems of brucellosis” from 2011 to the present.

She took an active part in public work: for 5 years she was the chairman of the Association of Infectious Diseases Doctors in Semipalatinsk; from 2002 to 2005 – Chairman of the Republican subject Commission on infectious Diseases, tropical diseases and epidemiology; from 2005 to 2010 – Scientific secretary of the doctoral dissertation Council in the specialties: immunology and allergology, surgery, rheumatology in subsequent years, she was a member of the BREEZE, the interdepartmental commission on the specialty “Medicine”, an honorary member of the Council of Akylmans.

She was awarded the Presidential Diploma, Honorary Diplomas of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the badge “Excellent Health Worker”, the medals “Veteran of Labor” and “Eren enbegi usin”, “Honored Professor of Semey State Medical University”, the badge of the University “Golden Stethoscope”.

After graduating from the Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute, she followed the traditional path of professional growth as a clinician, teacher and scientist from graduate student to assistant, associate professor, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and vice-rector for Research. At all stages of professional development, he constantly introduces modern technologies into the educational process and practice of healthcare. Successfully combines educational, methodical and therapeutic work with scientific. The most significant research works are devoted to the study of immunogenetic factors, immunopathogenesis and the development of the most effective methods of treatment and rehabilitation for brucellosis, salmonellosis, erysipelas, diphtheria, which are implemented in practical healthcare. Almira Kalikapasovna Akhmetova

Acting professor of the course of dermatovenereology, associate professor, candidate of medical sciences

Responsible for the specialty of residency “Dermatovenereology for adults, children”.

Author of more than 140 scientific publications, including those with a non-zero impact factor, and 3 rationalization proposals. She was trained at the Salzburg seminar on dermatovenereology in Austria, under the Bolashak program in Chicago in the USA, on an internship at the Derma clinic Riga in Latvia. Participated in the international grant project – “Promoting the innovative potential of higher education in the field of nursing in the context of reforming the healthcare system” (Erasmus +) and in the Republican project “New molecular genetic methods for pre-symptom diagnosis and treatment of a number of significant diseases (psoriasis)” by order Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (0013 / PCF-17). Compiles modular educational programs for bachelors, interns and residents.

Gulnar Inzhikanovna Nuralinova

Associate professor, an experienced teacher and a clinician of the highest qualification category

Her lectures and practical classes are characterized by a high scientific and methodological level using modern innovative methods. Since the establishment of the Kazakh department, he has been constantly supervising its work at the department. For many years she was responsible for educational and medical work. Nuralinova Gulnara Injikanovna graduated with honors from Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute in 1975. After graduation, she was left at the Department of Infectious Diseases as an intern researcher. From 1978 to 1981, she studied in full-time graduate school. In 1981, she was accepted as an assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases. She defended her PhD thesis in 1983 at the Novosibirsk State Medical Institute. In 1990, she was transferred to the position of associate professor and still works in the same position. In 2010, the Academic Council awarded the title of professor of Semey State Medical University. For many years she has been a member of the group of nominees “The best senior lecturer-associate professor”, has repeatedly been a nominee for “The Best lecturer of Semey State Medical University”. He has the badge “Excellent Health Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, certificates of appreciation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

After completing her residency, she worked as an assistant, since 2008 – associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology. In 2001, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Associations of HLA antigens with clinical and immunological manifestations and the effectiveness of treatment of salmonellosis” in the specialties 14.00.36 – immunology and allergology, 14.00.10 – infectious diseases.

He is an expert on test tasks, an infectious disease expert.

Alma Zeinollakyzy Tokayeva

Farid Fuadovich Yagofarov

Nurgul Karibaevna Sultanova

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, dermatovenerologist of the highest category

Responsible for research work of the department

Graduated with honors from the Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute in 1986 with a degree in General Medicine. After graduation, was accepted as an assistant at the Department of Pharmacology. From 1990 to 1994 studied full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute. Defended her Ph.D. thesis in 1996 at the Kazakh Research Institute of Skin and Venereal Diseases. In 2002-2006 studied at the doctoral level. In 2009 defended her doctoral dissertation. By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission in 2009, was awarded the scientific title of associate professor. From the beginning of the opening of the Kazakh branch at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases, she was responsible for the Kazakh branch. Yerbol Muslimuly Smail

Candidate of Medical Sciences, acting associate professor. Infectious diseases. Hepatology

Smail E.M., having the experience of a practical doctor with great responsibility and desire, is engaged in medical advisory work together with research work. The main area of scientific activity of Smail E.M. is immunotherapy of brucellosis, and currently the problem of treatment of chronic hemocontact hepatitis. As part of this work, Smail E.M. conducts master classes and lectures in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Semey for internists, infectious diseases specialists and interns. He is the author of 80 publications, 5 innovation proposals, 5 patents for invention. Currently, Smail E.M. advises the adult department of MC GMU Semey and conducts an appointment at the polyclinic of MC GMU Semey. He was awarded the badge “Excellent Health Worker”, “Halyk algysy”.

Smail Erbol Muslimovich, after graduating from the Semipalatinsk Medical Institute in 1994, was trained in a clinical residency in infectious diseases. In 1996, he was hired as an assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Semipalatinsk State Medical Academy. From 1997 to 2005, he worked as an infectious disease specialist in the consultative polyclinic of the SGMA medical Center, providing counseling to patients in the adult hospital of the center. From 2005 to 2007 . he studied in full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the SSMA, specializing in allergology and Immunology. In 2009 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic: “Clinical and immunological characteristics and immunotherapy of brucellosis”.

He has the highest qualification category of an infectious disease doctor, which he confirmed again in 2011. In the 2011-2012 academic year, he worked at the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases with the course HIV infection and infection control at S.D.Asfendiyarov KAZNMU, where he continued research work on brucellosis. In September 2012, he participated in the First Congress of Hepatologists of Kazakhstan in Astana, has a certificate of gastroenterologist, was delegated to the second congress of the Euro-Asian Society for Infectious Diseases, which was held for the first time in Kazakhstan on September 12-14, 2012 in Astana. In December 2012, he took part in the international scientific and practical conference “Achievements and prospects in the fight against viral infections” within the framework of the Days of S.D.Asfendiyarov KAZNMU University, made a report.

Assiya Abikhasovna Kussainova

Zhanar Bakytzhanovna Issabekova

Dinara Begimhanovna Kozubayeva

In 2010 she defended her PhD thesis on: “Features of the combined effect of industrial dust and radiation on the indicators of immunological and metabolic processes”. Author of 30 scientific publications, 1 patent for an invention, 1 research proposal, 1 teaching manual (in Kazakh).

In 2020, she defended her master’s thesis on the topic: “Clinical and pathogenetic approach to optimizing the complex therapy of atopic dermatitis using bacteriophages to Staphylococcus aureus”. Author of 28 scientific publications, 1 patent for an invention, 1 teaching manual (in Kazakh).

Since 2021, she has been working an assistant at the Department of infectious diseases, dermatovenerology and immunology. Botagoz Turakhanova is the chief-allergist of Semey.

In 2011 graduated from the Semey State Medical University with a degree in «Pediatrics». In 2012, she graduated from the internship in «General Medicine». In 2014, she graduated from residency in the specialty “Allergology and immunology”.

Madiana Seytkazovna Zhokebayeva

In 1992 she graduated from SSMI (Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute) From 1992 to 1993 – passed an internship at the Department of Dermatovenereology at the SSMI. From 1995 to 1997 – clinical residency at NIKVI in Almaty. She worked in the Regional Dermatovenerological Dispensary (from 1997 to 2001) in Almaty. From 2001 to 2009 – work at the International Clinic of Dermatology and Cosmetology as a dermatologist and cosmetologist. From 2014 to 2019 – work in the CSE at the REM “Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Dispensary” in Semey as a dermatologist at a polyclinic appointment. From 2019 to the present – work at NJSC “IUS” – an assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenereology and Immunology. I have a master’s degree in public health. I am responsible for the specialties: “Internship”, “Dentistry”.

Saya Sayankyzy Karimova

Assistant

Conducts supervision of patients on the basis of the Infectious Diseases Hospital. During the period of the Pandemic, while studying on residency, she worked in the СVI department 5 times. She is the author of 6 publications. She is studying at the School of Young Teachers. She is constantly studying online and offline master classes.

Karimova Saya from 2017 to 2019 completed an internship in Pediatrics at the NAO ICC. During the internship, she combined the work of a teacher at the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan TK Raisov, where she taught in 3 languages. In 2019 she entered the residency specializing in “Infectious Diseases, Including Children”. At the end of the residency, she was qualified as an infectious disease doctor for adults and children. After graduation in 2021, she began to work at the department as an assistant.
