On December 22, a conversation was organized with a university psychologist Asylbekova A.M. This conversation was very helpful for first year students. The psychologist set for them the main goals and objectives.
Socio-psychological problems that foreign students face:
Entering a new socio-cultural environment
Joining a new team (educational, at the place of residence)
Inadequately high mental and physical stress (information saturation, emotional connections, adaptation)
Tasks of psychological support for foreign students:
-provision of psychological assistance to foreign students in order to facilitate adaptation in the team (academic and at the place of residence), the development of personality in new socio-cultural conditions;
-increasing the intercultural competence of the teaching staff, administrative and educational support personnel, as well as in the student environment of the university as a whole;
– conducting socio-psychological monitoring to ensure the quality of the provision of educational services to foreign citizens and the implementation of the requirements of the current legislation in the field of education;
-development of the scientific and methodological base of psychological support for foreign students studying at NJSC “MUS”. The students thanked Asylbekova A.M. for a very useful conversation.
