As part of Semey Medical University’s policies to develop the international cooperation and relationships with foreign specialists and visiting professors, on November 10th 2020 Department of Topographic and Clinical Anatomy named after Professor N.A. Khlopov organized a master class for young teachers and students with the topic “Topographic anatomy of the skull, division into regions, especially childhood.” The class was conducted by the head of the department of anatomy, doctor of medical sciences, associate professor Artem Pavlov, Ryazan State Medical University named after academician I.P. Pavlova of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
During the pandemic period and distance learning, these kinds of classes give the teachers of the department the opportunity to adopt advanced pedagogical experience and then lead it into the educational process. Mr. Pavlov noted that during the quarantine period of the coronavirus infection COVID-19, distance learning provides new opportunities to collaborate and conduct master classes remotely using online technologies. This meeting was held via Skype, 46 listeners were present. The provided topic of the lecture was very interesting, informative for both young teachers and students. In the future, active cooperation is planned, conducting master classes on the topics such as “Topographic anatomy of the facial region”, “Cellular space of the neck, ways of spreading purulent-inflammatory processes”.
