A cycle of lectures and practical training session, within the framework of the University Development Strategy, was conducted at the Department of Anatomy and Histology of the State Medical University of Semey on 14-18 of the May, 2018 by the visiting professor of the Charité Medical University (Berlin, Germany), Dr. Kerim Mutig on functional anatomy of the nervous system. This course was interesting to both undergraduate and graduate students. Questions of functional anatomy of the brain and spinal cord, their meninges and blood supply were considered. Particular attention was paid to the clinical aspect. A round table was held at the end of the week, as a result of the educational course. The questions of the modern methodology of anatomy teaching were discussed, the participants shared their experience, the staff of the Anatomy and Histology Department thanked Dr. Kerim Mutig for the opportunity to improve their professional level and adopt valuable experience and best practice.
